The Trojan War
Months Poem
New Years resolutions are the talk of January
My only goal is to be as famous as Jim Carrey
February is when Cupid strikes with his bow and arrows
But, the list of people slowly narrows
March is when we get a two week break
I'll be spending all my time down by the lake
April has Easter to make it just as special as the rest
Chocolate eggs, family, and an argument regarding whose the best
May is the month where Mother's Day leads to a special surprise
My mom's opinion on her favourite child will slowly rise
June is the month where your summer truly starts
Maybe I'll do more than simply playing darts
July is when I light the candles on my birthday cake
Maybe this year I'll get tickets to go see Drake
August is the month that I got my dog
Since he chewed up my shoes I've regretted it all
September is when you get to go back to school
I don't think there's anything as cruel
Halloween is slowly approaching in the month of October
But, trick-or-treating is a risk because you might see an ogre
November is when you sit around the table and say what you're thankful for
I still try to avoid family because their conversations are such a bore
December is when the trees light up with Christmas lights
and you're off to see family on crowded flights

Twinkle wants to train trains to turn towards tunnels tomorrow.
Sally sat on slimy sand on Saturday, slowly sanding down the sandcastle she made from the slimy sand.

Old Man Geoff
Nooo! Shrieked young Olivia Benson as she was walking back home from her first day of eighth grade. The dreaded issue that every child had to go through for years was Old Man Geoff. This is where I should give you some back story on Old Man Geoff. It all started in the summer of 2003 when Geoff was playing with his beloved scottish fold kitten Meredith in his backyard. Geoff had gone inside for a phone call and as he looked out the window he saw something that truly mortified him. He was staring out the window with shock but was heartbroken at the same time. After pausing for a moment because he didn't know what to do Geoff raced out the door screaming, but trying to help Meredith, but still heartbroken at the same time. He raced Meredith to the vet but Meredith didn't make it. What had happened was the neighbours corgi saw Meredith outside and alone and took the opportunity to eat Meredith. Geoff was absolutely heartbroken and changed from the kindest, sweetest person you'd ever meet to the rudest, coldest man known today as Old Man Geoff. Old Man Geoff absolutely HATED dogs and everything to do with them. Thats the reason why Olivia screamed and began to panic. The problem was that she unlocked the door to her home when Olivia's new golden retriever raced out the door and straight into Old Man Geoff's front yard. Olivia's dog managed to somehow fall into Old Man Geoff's pond. Geoff pulled into the driveway while all of this was happening and stared at the dog and then gave a glance to Olivia in her yard panicking. Olivia couldn't rescue her dog because Geoff had a gate surrounding his yard with a hole just small enough for Olivia's dog to get through. Her dog wasn't
Dear Child of the Future
As the days pass on, one by one, and slow as ever. I recall the day I first set foot on this particular battlefield. I remember the day I ran away from home and made the spontaneous decision to join the army and fight for my country. I wonder how my family is doing back at home. I remember how I used to squeeze on to my older brothers hand with all my strength because I was scared of everything I hadn't known, everything yet to be known.
I'm not asking for any sympathy for my actions but, I do ask for you, whoever you are that is reading this to not go on and do whatever it is that I did. No matter how hard it would get for you or however much money you would need, just know that their are always other options. Better options. Now I know that you want me to get on to the exciting things that you want to know about like what its like to be out here fighting for my own life, other soldiers life, and just maybe your life. Although first I want you to know that I am very appreciative that you took the time to even write to me.
Alright I guess I'll tell you all about my "wonderful" life out here as a soldier. I think I'll start off with the truth, the cold and harsh truth. Well for me that is. It's not as exciting as you think it is to be a soldier. Every time that I run out and get ready to shoot some soldier from the enemies team I get hit by this rush of emotions. I want to shoot and kill so I can get back home to my family but every life that I've taken might've also wanted the same thing as me, the same hope that I have to make it back home safely yet still filled with horrific memories. I always have that moment of hesitation, think about what they might be going through. I guess I should wrap up this letter now, so I just want to say again that I'm very thankful that you took the time to write to me and just maybe my final, official goodbye to the world I once thought was filled with good.
Yours Truly, Unknown Soldier

Arachne vs Athena
Once upon a time in a world of greek mythology, their lived a girl named Arachne. She had been known to be quite boastful around town. One day she had crossed paths with Athena the daughter of Zeus. Arachne was bragging about how "great" she was at weaving. Athena had had enough of Arachne thinking she was better than the rest of them. "Alright then" said Athena "if you think you are better than me at weaving, we shall gather around the entire town and have a weaving battle, the winner shall hold the title of The Best Weaver and loser will be dead. They made the deal and soon came the day of the weaving battle. They met in the middle and started weaving, hour after hour, until finally they were both done. Arachne had woven a picture of Athena in the form of a spider. Athena was furious when she had saw the picture. She was so furious that she had used her powers to turn Arachne into a constellation of a spider.
